MFM, ST412/506 and RLL interfaces disks drives replacement

Most of MFM disk drives are no longer manufactured. Users have to get their floppy disk drives replaced by second hand ones, less and less reliable.

Datastorage, worried about the everlastingness of these systems, has developed the DTX300 in order for these customers to recover the reliability of their device.

The DTX300 can replace all the MFM and RLL disks drives, for exemple :

Reliability increased in the transfer of data :

The Datastorage DTX300 use a Flash card to stock your data. The access are ultra-fast, and the risks of drive failure are almost non-existent, because the DTX200 has no mechanical parts moving. A preventive detection system is incorporated to deal with an eventual failure.

To have a very long lifetime of data recording, a SDRAM is used in dynamic operation and a Flash card to save when the power is off. SDRAM and Flash card are removable.

Less power consumption :

The Flash cards used in the Datastorage DTX300 consume less than 5% of the power necessary to a ST506 disk drive. Less heat is produced, therefore the components have a longer lifetime and the system becomes more reliable.

Easy installation :

The Datastorage DTX300 uses as much space as a 5''^¼ ST506 disk drive half height or that of a 3''^½.

The DTX300 is pre-programmed to have the same features with the drive to replace. It only has to be connected in place of the replaced drive, in a completely transparent way for your system.

Extended warranty :

The Datastorage DTX300 has a two years warranty with workshop return, whilst the repaired ST506 disks drives have generally only 3 months of warranty.
